In short
The immutable audit log is an append-only record of every material change in KanchanFlow — quote pricing, approvals, order amendments, permission changes — with the user, timestamp and before-and-after values. It is in development for Wave 1 Milestone 5 and is a Professional and Enterprise capability, with the compliance dashboard on Enterprise.
What it is
Shops working to AS9100, ITAR or a customer's supplier quality requirement get asked the same question in every audit: show me who changed this and when. A CRM whose history can be edited cannot answer that question, and a screenshot of a record is not evidence of anything. An auditor wants a log, produced from the system, that nobody could have edited.
The audit log is append-only. Entries are written when a change happens and cannot be modified or deleted from the interface, including by an administrator. Each entry carries the user, the timestamp, the record, the field and the values before and after. On Enterprise the compliance dashboard summarises the log and the export produces the evidence pack an auditor asks for.

What it does
Append-only by construction
Entries cannot be edited or deleted from the application, by any role including administrators. An audit log with an edit button is not an audit log.
Before-and-after values
Each entry records the field, the previous value and the new value, so a price change from $412 to $388 reads as exactly that rather than as 'quote updated'.

Quote pricing and revisions, approval decisions and overrides, order amendments, credit limit changes, permission and role changes, and eSign and IRN events.
Export for auditors
Filter by record, user, date range or event type and export the result, so responding to an audit request is a query rather than a fortnight of screenshots.

A summary view over the log — override frequency, approval bypasses, permission changes — for the person who has to sign the supplier quality questionnaire.

How it works
The order these steps happen in matters more than the feature list above it.

Enable it on the workspace
The log is switched on for the workspace on Professional and Enterprise. Once on, it records continuously without per-record configuration.

Changes are written as they happen
Every material change writes an entry with the user, the timestamp, the record, the field and both values. Nothing depends on someone remembering to note it.

Read it from the record
Any quote or order shows its own change history in place, so the common question — what happened to this job — is answered without a separate report.

Query across the workspace
Filter by user, date range, record type or event type when the question is broader than a single record.

Export the evidence
Produce a filtered export for an auditor or a customer's supplier quality team, with the entries in their original form.
What this is not
This is not a certification — KanchanFlow is the CRM, not the certifier. We will never claim to make you AS9100 or CMMC certified; we ship the log a compliance-driven manufacturer needs.
This is not an ERP, MRP, CAD, BOM, or advanced CPQ system — it manages customer RFQs, quotes, follow-ups, and order handoff.
