Buy America content-percentage calculator
This feature does not exist. Calculating and evidencing domestic content percentage for federally funded work is on our Wave 3 list, with no committed date.
In short
The Buy America content-percentage calculator is not built. The intent is to calculate domestic content percentage across a part's material and processing and hold the evidence behind the figure. It is a Wave 3 item with an H2 2027 direction and no committed date, and none of it is available in KanchanFlow today.
Where this actually stands
Manufacturers supplying into federally funded infrastructure work face domestic content requirements, and the certifications that go with them are backed by a percentage somebody has to calculate and defend. In most shops that calculation lives in a spreadsheet built once for one contract and adapted under pressure ever since. Nobody wants to defend that spreadsheet in front of a contracting officer.
The intent is to compute the percentage from material and processing records already in the system and keep the supporting evidence attached to the figure. We have not built it, and putting a mock screenshot on this page would misrepresent that. The page exists so that anyone evaluating us on this requirement gets a straight answer today, before a trial rather than after one.
Capabilities
What this would cover if we build it
What is intended
A domestic content percentage per part or assembly, computed from material origin and processing location, with the calculation basis visible rather than hidden in a formula.
Evidence behind the number
The material records, certificates and processing evidence that support the percentage, attached to it, because the number is only as good as what backs it.
Threshold checking
Comparison against the applicable threshold for the contract, with a clear position rather than a figure you have to interpret alone.
Enterprise scope
If built, this would sit with ITAR, PPAP and USMCA as an Enterprise compliance module, matching how that group is tiered today.
Why the evidence matters more than the number
A percentage nobody can trace back to material records and processing evidence is a liability rather than an asset. Any implementation would have to attach the supporting records to the figure, not just store the figure.
Step by step
Where the work stands
There is no workflow to walk through yet. This is what the current position actually is.
- 1
Nothing works yet
There is no calculator and no domestic content data model in the product. This is a public statement of intent.
- 2
Thresholds and rules change
Domestic content thresholds have moved several times in recent years, so any implementation has to be configurable rather than hard-coded.
- 3
It builds on material tracking
Material tracking is live and would be the source, but it does not yet carry origin or processing-location attributes.
- 4
Status would change here first
If it moves into development it gets a milestone and a progress figure here, and a changelog entry on release.
- 5
What to do in the meantime
Keep the calculation wherever your contracts team keeps it today, and use live material tracking to hold the certificates and receipts that support it, so at least the evidence is on the order rather than in a folder.
What this is not
This is not available, and it would never be a compliance determination — the certification and its consequences remain yours and your counsel's.
This is not an ERP, MRP, CAD, BOM, or advanced CPQ system — it manages customer RFQs, quotes, follow-ups, and order handoff.
Tier availability
What you get on each plan
These rows come from the same feature matrix the pricing page publishes. If the two ever disagree, the matrix is wrong and we fix it.
| Plan | Availability |
|---|---|
| Starter | Not built. If built, it would follow the Enterprise-only compliance module tiering. |
| Professional | Not built. If built, it would follow the Enterprise-only compliance module tiering. |
| Enterprise | Not built — planned for Enterprise alongside ITAR, PPAP and USMCA. No committed date. |
Starter is $39 per user per month, Professional $49, Enterprise $99 plus a $2,000 monthly platform fee. Annual billing is 17% lower. See the full matrix.
Interface
What it looks like
No screenshot. There is nothing built to capture.
We do not publish mockups of unbuilt features as if they were interface captures.
No screenshot. Material tracking, which is live, is the nearest existing record.
Placeholder retained so this page's structure matches every other feature page.
Screenshots are described rather than mocked up. Captures are taken from the build current at the date shown in the changelog, on a sample workspace.

No. There is no calculator and no domestic content data model. It is on our public list because we intend to, not because it exists.
