KanchanFlow is exploring with partners whether geometric dimensioning and tolerancing symbols can be read from a drawing reliably enough to price from. It is a Wave 3 exploration with no committed date, and nothing on this page is available to buy today.
Where this actually stands
We are stating this plainly because the alternative is worse: this feature does not exist, is not in development, and has no date. It is on our public list because we are genuinely investigating it, not because we intend to sell it to you this year. Publishing an exploration honestly is the only way a roadmap stays worth reading.
The problem is harder than general document OCR. GD&T is a symbolic language layered on geometry, where a feature control frame's meaning depends on the datum structure elsewhere on the print. Reading the symbols is achievable; reading them correctly enough that an estimator would price a job from the output without checking is not something we can currently claim.

Whether feature control frames, datum references and tolerance callouts can be extracted from a drawing with enough accuracy and enough confidence scoring to be useful to an estimator.
Why partners
The specialist capability here sits with vendors who have worked on engineering drawing interpretation for years. We are more likely to integrate one than to build our own from nothing.
The accuracy bar we would need
An extraction an estimator has to verify symbol by symbol saves nobody any time. The bar is confident extraction with honest uncertainty flagging, and we are not near it.
What exists instead today
Drawing revision management with AI spec extraction, in development for Wave 1 Milestone 3, reads material, finish and general tolerance for human confirmation. That is a much narrower and more achievable claim.
What would have to be true first
Extraction accurate enough to price from, confidence reporting honest enough that an estimator knows which callouts to check, and a cost per drawing low enough to be worth the credits. None of those three are settled.
