In short
Quote revision diff shows two KanchanFlow quote revisions side by side and highlights every changed line, price, quantity, lead time and term. It is roughly 20 percent complete, targeted at Wave 1 Milestone 3. Basic visual comparison is planned for Starter, with full diff and change alerts on Professional and Enterprise.
What it is
Quotes in manufacturing do not go out once. They go to Rev 5 as the customer changes quantities, the material moves, and the required date slips. By Rev 5 nobody can remember whether the tooling charge was in Rev 3, and the buyer certainly cannot. The argument that follows is expensive and entirely avoidable with a record.
The diff view answers that in one screen. Pick two revisions, see the lines that were added, removed or changed, and see the specific fields that moved. On Professional, change alerts flag material movements on price, quantity and lead time so a revision that quietly dropped a line does not go out unnoticed.

What it does
Side-by-side revision comparison
Any two revisions of the same quote, aligned line by line. Added, removed and changed lines are marked distinctly rather than left for you to spot.
Field-level change highlighting
Price, quantity, lead time, description and terms are compared individually, so a change of ten cents on line seven does not hide behind a matching total.
Change alerts on material movements
On Professional, changes above a threshold you set raise an alert before send, which catches the revision that dropped a line by accident.
Diff summary for the customer conversation
A short 'what changed since Rev 3' summary you can put in the covering message, so the buyer is not left to find it themselves.
Full history, never trimmed
Every revision remains comparable for the life of the record. We do not cap revision retention on any tier, including Starter.

Open the quote's revision list
Every revision of the quote is listed with its date, who created it and whether it was sent.

Pick two revisions
Choose the pair to compare — usually the last one the customer acknowledged against the one about to go out.

Read the diff
Lines align side by side with added, removed and changed lines marked, and the specific changed fields highlighted within each line.

Check the alerts
Material changes above your threshold are called out. On a long quote this is the difference between catching a dropped line and shipping the error.

Send with a change summary
Paste the change summary into the covering note so the buyer's engineer and buyer both know what moved.
What this is not
This is not a document redline tool — we compare the structured quote data, not the PDF layout or free-text formatting of the printed document.
This is not an ERP, MRP, CAD, BOM, or advanced CPQ system — it manages customer RFQs, quotes, follow-ups, and order handoff.
